Since the early 90's, Valderose has produced and sold an extensive collection of roses on a small farm near Chatham, Ontario. Unfortunately, roses are no longer offered but the owner continues to represent Fryer's Roses in Canada and works closely with David Austin roses on various projects.

Be sure to take a look at the extensive offerings of Fryer's Roses and place your order with a Canadian licensed grower of Valderose. Pickering Nurseries offers the best selection in North America but other varieties are available from other growers. Visit the LINKS page.

Valderose is pleased to present the NEW Rose Marie rose, an exciting new introduction from David Austin Roses and Valderose Gardens.

Rose Marie (AUSome), syn White Heritage is a white sport of the ever popular Heritage rose of Austin. It was launched at the Chelsea Flower Show in May of 2003 along with the newest of the David Austin collection.

Rose Marie is named for the spouse of the owner of Valderose Gardens.

Production has already started in many parts of the world and limited quantities were offered in the fall of 2003 in Europe with later introductions planned for the U.S, Australia, etc.

A limited quantity will be available in the spring of 2004 in Canada.

The white flowers of Rose Marie exhibit a light touch of pink in the cooler periods of growth and it has been noted that the variety has more fragrance than Heritage. It is an outstanding addition to the white roses offered by David Austin and will blend well and will provide lots of colour throughout the growing season.

Valderose Gardens is the Canadian agent for Fryer’s Roses of Knutsford, United Kingdom. Gareth Fryer is the Breeder of the very popular variety that is known as Warm Wishes or Sunset Celebration in the U.S. Many outstanding varieties are now available in North America and can be ordered from various Canadian producers if you will check the links page. Two varieties of Fryer’s were launched as fund raisers by Valderose Gardens in the last few years and are gaining in popularity. Check the links on Lady Aberdeen and Michelle Wright.
